NY Forward Strategic Plans
"NY Forward" is a NY State program that provides 20 communities each year with $4.5 million each to revitalize rural downtowns through strategic investments and planning. Each winning community is paired with a consultant agency with whom they collaborate to develop a Strategic Investment Plan (SIP). The SIPs, which ranged from 90 - 160 pages, set the direction for investing the funds. As a member of the consulting team, I contributed to the development of SIPs for the following communities:
- Cooperstown, NY
- Dolgeville, NY
- Sharon Springs, NY
- Boonville, NY
- Richfield, NY
My contributions to the development of the SIP included:
- Graphic Design Lead – Developed the layout and design direction for each SIP.
- Design Implementation - Designed effective tools to concisely communicate complicated concepts, including infographics, maps, charts, and graphs.
- Clean Layout – Established a consistent, clean, and easy to navigate layout that was both visually pleasing and organized, with consistent hierarchy and easy-to-follow organization throughout the documents.
- Strategic, Content, and Project Management Contributions – Provided strategic, tactical, and editing input that helped shape the development process and final content of each SIP.
